March 10, 2023

The UN Water Conference will take place in New York on 22-24 March. This is a major event for water and the first of its kind in almost 50 years.  Water is a vital resource for all of us. But the world is facing a water crisis – “too much water (floods, storms, melting glaciers, and sea-level rise)”, “too little water (droughts and freshwater scarcity), and “too dirty water (polluted water sources).” The Conference will address the water crisis.

The École is excited to participate in the UN World Water Day Campaign 2023.  On Friday, March 10 our students will write a small action they can take to help solve the water crisis on a square piece of paper, which will be folded into a bird.  The origami birds will be collected and displayed at the UN Water Conference.
