The Back Onsite Committee has been created in June 2020. Composed of parents, teachers, staff and administration, the committee has been working on our Back Onsite Plan for 2020-2021, taking into consideration all the requirements and guidelines from CDC, NYS and NYC as well as the DOE. Some actions have been added in order to go even beyond the given guidelines and to ensure a safe, healthy and overall good experience for our students, their families and for our teachers and staff.
The Committee has identified the eight below categories to work on:
- Personal Protection Equipment
- Building Circulation
- Cleaning Procedures
- Building Facilities
For each category, the Committee created a long list of all possible actions to take, and they then selected the appropriate actions according to three criteria:
All the actions that have been retained by the Committee, and that the school has implemented since September 2020, have been included in the Back Onsite Plan. The Committee has submitted this plan to the Department of Education and the Department of Health.
The Back Onsite Committee continues to meet regularly to adjust the plan as needed, taking into consideration the context and feedback from our community.
For the 2021-2022 school year, the Back Onsite Committee has adjusted the rules to follow in order to provide to our students, parents and staff the best onsite experience possible, with all the necessary safety measures.
