2nd to 8th Grade Arrival and Drop-Off
During the first week of school, classes for 2nd through 8th Grade begin at the regular time of 8:15 a.m.
- Middle School students who arrive before 8:00 a.m. may enter the building and wait in the lobby before heading to their classrooms at 8:00 a.m.
- Elementary students (2nd to 5th Grade) may enter the building starting at 8:05 a.m., when the doors open.
- Elementary & Middle School students who are new to The École will be greeted and guided to their classrooms by their Friendly Falcon–a Middle School student who has volunteered to welcome new students and help them settle into life at The École.
- Students who arrive on the yellow school bus before 8:05 a.m. will be allowed into the building and supervised as they play quietly in the gym. At 8:03 a.m., they make their way to their classrooms.
2nd to 8th Grade Dismissal and Pick-Up
To reduce congestion at the entrance and on the sidewalk, pick-up for Elementary and Middle School students is staggered:
- 2nd & 3rd Grade dismissal: 3:40 p.m.
- 4th & 5th Grade dismissal: 3:45 p.m.
- Middle School dismissal: 3:50 p.m.
Parents and caregivers should wait outside the school entrance, where students will be dismissed by the staff on duty.
Only individuals listed as Pick-Up Contacts in the Focus portal are authorized to collect students. Please ensure your child’s Emergency and Pick-Up Contacts Form is accurate and complete.
During the first few weeks of school, we kindly ask that parents and caregivers identify themselves to the staff member at the door at pick-up, while we learn to match names and faces!
- Students who take the school bus gather in the gym, the designated meeting point. The bus team supervises the boarding and departure process once all riders are ready.
- Starting Monday, September 8, all Elementary and Middle School students enrolled in After-School activities will go directly to the meeting point at dismissal.
