The UN Water Conference will take place in New York on 22-24 March. This is a major event for water and the first of its kind in almost 50 years. Water is a vital resource for all of us. But the world is facing a water crisis – « too much water (floods, storms, melting glaciers, and sea-level rise) », « too little water (droughts and freshwater scarcity), and « too dirty water (polluted water sources). » The Conference will address the water crisis.
The École is excited to participate in the UN World Water Day Campaign 2023. On Friday, March 10 our students will write a small action they can take to help solve the water crisis on a square piece of paper, which will be folded into a bird. The origami birds will be collected and displayed at the UN Water Conference.
