This spring, The École is inviting interested families to discover its unique French-American school and meet the community. Parents and children are invited to The École’s Discovery Day and to take part in a variety of activities and workshops.
On Saturday, April 29 from 2-5 p.m., The École is opening the doors of its Maternelle Building and inviting new families to visit.

Spring Art
With Andrea (Nursery English Teacher) and Olfa (Pre-Nursery French Teacher)
Andrea and Olfa will work with different tools and mediums helping children create a spring art scene. Each student will get the chance to express themselves through this creative process.

Color Mixing and Animal Collage
With Virginie (Pre-K French Teacher) and Yuna (Pre-K English Teacher)
Virginie and Yuna will read a book about colors and the children will do a color-mixing experiment. Then, they will collage an animal inspired by Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Music
With Alisha (Kindergarten English Teacher) and Julien (Kindergarten French Teacher)
Join Alisha and Julien’s bilingual music class! They will lead the children, teaching them body percussion and rhythm through traditional songs in French and in English.
Our Discovery Day is a wonderful, fun-filled introduction to The École’s unique bilingual curriculum, which allows children to flourish individually and as part of a group, in the friendly welcoming environment of our classrooms.
Families are also invited to join us in our Multi-Purpose Room and on the rooftop, where you can meet other members of The École community: the leadership team, teachers, and parent ambassadors. It’s an opportunity for interested parents to meet members of The École’s teaching team, which is composed of qualified and experienced French and American native-speaking teachers, all certified by the French Ministry of Education or New York State respectively.
In a relaxed and friendly setting, parents will get to meet our head of school, leadership team, and parent ambassadors over light refreshments, while the children take part in activities and games supervised by our school life assistants and partners. Balloon sculpting, face painting, sketching, fishing, and lots of other surprises are scheduled to keep your children delighted during Discovery Day.
Registration is required for Discovery Day and places are limited, so please click on the following link to sign up.
