We welcome all children 3 to 10 years old—both students of The École and neighborhood friends—even if they have no French or English background.

More information about our camps to come soon.

Our camp has been designed to provide children with a bilingual immersion experience similar to The École’s regular school year program—but in the context of lots of summer fun. At our Flatiron District campus and the surrounding Madison Square and Union Square Parks, campers learn and practice both French and English through daily art, dance, music, and sports workshops and activities. Weekly excursions to nearby museums and organizations, such as MOMATH, the Museum of Natural History, and the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater in Central Park, add additional cultural richness to their summer.

Throughout the day, children will be guided through workshops and activities by a camp staff composed entirely of The École’s Maternelle, Elementary, and After-School program teachers. All are native-speakers in French or English and deeply experienced in working with language learners of all levels. They ensure campers have the opportunity to improve their French and English language skills, at their own pace and in relaxed—but enriching—settings.

Daily Schedule

Our camp days begin with morning workshops and activities conducted in French. Following recess and lunch—and, for our youngest campers, naptime—afternoon workshops activities are held in English.

Please note that lunch will not be provided by the camp. Parents are required to pack lunch for their child and have it with them at morning drop-off. Please do not bring any food containing peanut products, as The École is a peanut-free environment.
