The École’s Back-to-School Picnic is our biggest social event of the year—and a beloved tradition that brings our whole community together. In 2024, more than 700 guests joined us! Current and former families, staff, and alumni are all invited to this fully catered celebration, taking place on Saturday, September 6, from 11:30 a.m. on Randall’s Island.
Families can look forward to a fun-filled day with face painting, balloon art, and other kid-friendly activities.
An RSVP is required to attend the picnic and to reserve seats on the bus. Seats are limited, so please be sure to RSVP here by Wednesday, September 3.
Transportation:
Complimentary buses will run between the Maternelle Building (206 Fifth Avenue) and Randall’s Island. Buses depart from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and return between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Soccer by FFF at the Picnic
Children are invited to take part in a soccer workshop led by the Fédération Française de Football (FFF) during the picnic. If your child would like to take part please sign up here.
Adult Soccer Tournament
Following the success of last year’s tournament, the adult soccer competition is back! Open to all parents and staff, each team will play four 10-minute matches.

- Your team’s name
- The names of your six players
- Your captain’s name
