In September, 2015 EINY launched an inaugural eight-grade class enabling the completion of its Middle School Program. Rachel Loble, the Middle School Director and English language and Social Studies teacher, says, “EINY’s Middle School is growing and we’re really seeing the benefits of higher-order thinking in terms of connections across the disciplines. Curricula are being developed to keep pace with challenges and opportunities.”
Many bilingual schools choose to teach some subjects in English and others in French, but that is not EINY’s strategy. At EINY all curricula are integrated across both languages, for example math and science are instructed in both French and English, as the French and American teachers harmonize their respective curricula.
