This morning, I had the pleasure of welcoming parents for our first p’tit déj – a breakfast event that will take place every month until the end of the year. It was an excellent opportunity for me to take the pulse of the school and to identify the issues that matter to our families – what they worry about, what they are happy with, what disappoints them, what they like, and what they like a little less.

Reading is a friendship, according to Proust, and I am very grateful for the friendship so many of you extended to us this week by coming into our classes and reading to our students. The children loved listening to you, and I hope that all the readers – parents and colleagues alike – enjoyed the experience too!

The World of Work is back for its ninth season at The École in 2022-2023! We are delighted to be welcoming a variety of industry experts to meet our 8th Grade students in their classroom—either virtually or in person—and share their professional experience, values, background, and knowledge with them.
Weekly Letter from Jean-Yves - I Can't Get No...
During the months of January and December, we invited parents of The École to answer a satisfaction survey. I would like to take the time today to thank all of you who responded. I must confess that personally, I tend to drag my heels when it comes to answering surveys. However, these semesterly satisfaction surveys are invaluable as they give us the opportunity to get formal feedback from you, to measure the progress we are making, and take note of the improvements we have yet to make.

On the first Thursday of every month, members of the school’s administration have a meeting with the officers of the parents association. Recently, coming together over coffee and croissants has been replaced by Zoom meetings, but it would take more than not being able to meet in person to dampen the enthusiasm of the PA officers.
