TEXT MESSAGE SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Service Description
The École operates an optional text message-based service, assisted by an AI bot application, for its school life operations. The service is being rolled out step by step, starting with occasional after-school registration, with additional school life services to follow. This service allows parents and guardians of currently enrolled students to interact with the school for a range of operational purposes by sending a text message to the dedicated school SMS line:

This service is purely transactional and operational. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this channel.
2. Eligibility and Consent
This service is available exclusively to parents and guardians of currently enrolled students at The École who have provided their express consent to receive text message communications from the school. Consent is collected strictly via self opt-in by SMS by texting the keyword JOIN, ECOLE, or AFTERSCHOOL to +1 (980) 983-2653. A publicly accessible copy of the consent requirements and exact disclosure text is available at https://www.theecole.org/sms-consent/.
3. How the Service Works
Once opted in, parents and guardians may send a text message to our school SMS line to:
- Inquire about school life operations and available services;
- Register their child for one-off after-school sessions or other school activities;
- Receive secure payment links for activity registration;
- Receive activity confirmations and day-of reminders;
- RSVP to school events;
- Ask general school questions;
- Receive related operational communications.
Registrations and requests are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation message from The École.
4. Message Frequency, Rates, and Carrier Liability
Message frequency varies based on the activities your child is enrolled in and the school calendar. There is no fixed maximum; you will receive messages as needed for operational purposes.
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. The École does not charge any additional fee for use of this service. Parents and guardians are responsible for any charges imposed by their mobile carrier. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Opt-Out, Re-Enrollment, and Help
To opt out: reply any of the following keywords to a message received from our school SMS line +1 (980) 983-2653 at any time: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, REVOKE. You will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent.
To re-enroll: text START or JOIN to +1 (980) 983-2653 at any time to resume communications.
For help: reply HELP or INFO to any message received from our school SMS line to receive assistance information. You may also contact us directly at bonjour@theEcole.org.
Opting out of text message communications will not affect your child’s eligibility to participate in after-school programming or any other school services. Alternative communication channels (email, phone) remain available.
6. Limitations of the Service
This text message and AI bot application service is provided for convenience and is subject to availability. The École reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time;
- Limit the scope of services available through this channel;
- Update these Terms & Conditions at any time, with notice posted on the school’s website.
Registrations and requests are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation message from The École.
7. Privacy and No Marketing Use
The collection and use of personal data in connection with this service is governed by The École’s Privacy Notice (Section XIV — Text Message Communications), available at https://www.theecole.org/privacy-policy-2/.
No marketing use — no third-party sharing. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data collected for this service are used solely for the operational purposes described in these Terms and in our Privacy Notice. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers that assist us in delivering SMS (e.g., Twilio, Inc.) process this data strictly on our behalf under contractual confidentiality.
